A station outside the city
Many travellers expect to arrive in the heart of Aix. In fact, Aix-en-Provence TGV station stands alone on the Arbois plateau, between Aix and Vitrolles, about 15 minutes from the city centre and from Marseille Provence Airport. Buses are limited in the evening and at weekends: a private driver is the easiest way to reach your hotel or villa.
Don't confuse it with Aix-en-Provence centre station, in town, which only has regional trains: there is no rail link between the two.
